Continuing its association with headspace Joondalup, the Football West State League Round 21 clash between Wanneroo City SC and Swan United FC on Saturday 7th September will become the “headcoach” round.

The headcoach campaign is designed to help young men understand that actively maintaining their mental health is just as important as maintaining their physical health, and to share simple tips and advice from high profile athletes that encourage young men to actively maintain their mental health and wellbeing.

WCSC President Dean Bell agreed that the key message, minds need training too, is important for the club’s State League players, the majority of whom fall into the target age group. “We will be encouraging our players and supporters to talk with the people from headspace on the day as we want them to see their mental health as important as maintaining their physical training” Mr Bell said.

headspace Joondalup will be on hand for the three games on the day, with the 18’s at 11am, the Reserves at 1pm and the 1st Team kicking off at 3pm. They will be chatting with people on the day and providing resources to raise awareness for mental health.
